Dear Parents and Students,
My billing system is now much simpler and easier for everyone. We no longer have to try and remember how many lessons we had each month or how much to pay. Here’s how it works: I total the number of lessons from September to the end of the teaching term (See 2013-2014 Lesson Totals), taking into account the school holidays and breaks plus the national and religious holidays that kids generally have off---in consultation with you, of course. I then average the cost of those lessons over a ten (10) month period, from September to around the last week in June. You will then know how much to pay at the first lesson of each month.
Absences and Make-Ups:
Your child has a reserved spot on my calendar each week, which means that I end up with an empty time slot if the student is absent. Such absences and lost income are not easily filled, even with 24-hour notice. Going forward, ALL missed lessons will be made up either during the week, over the weekend, during days off from school or after the semester ends, if necessary. However, let me say that unforseen circumstances arise and lessons will be missed; I will make accommodations and work with you in order to make up missed lessons.
Many of my fellow teachers have adopted the above method of billing and have found it to be much more convenient and much less complicated for everyone involved.
